Hosting annual Picnic with Protectors event to allow the citizens to get to know and recognize our community’s emergency personnel
Actively participating in the Tinker Air Force Base Quarterly Awards Program
The Navy’s TACAMO “Make A Difference” Award Program
Briefings, receptions, and tours designed to create a greater awareness of the role and mission of Tinker Air Force Base
Youth Excel and Leadership Midwest City programs (leadership programs for youth and adults)
Conducting legislative briefings, public forums, and meetings with local, state and national elected officials
Co-hosts an annual Celebrating Education program
Sponsorship of community events including the Veterans Day Parade
Midwest City was founded in 1942 as a support community to “Midwest Air Depot,” now known as Tinker Air Force Base and we continue with that tradition.
